This had been an inexpensive but functional coffee table for many years. However, the legs were attached using soft, mild-steel hardware that was failing and the owners were having to re-attach the legs repeatedly.

I removed the hardware, reshaped the legs, made blocks to accept mortises, reshaped the top to match to much more contemporary lines of the new legs, and finally stripped and refinished the entire table. The tables new life will last even longer than its old life thanks to the traditional joinery holding it together.
